In this ted talk, Rich Benjamin, an American cultural critic and author of the book "Whitopia", talks about his journey through the whitest towns across America. He talks about how some communities while they are getting more populated, are also becoming less diverse in culture and race. He lived in 3 white communities for some time on his journey to get to know what it was like, and how the people acted. He was very welcomed and made good friends for the most part, but he also witnessed very active protesters against immigration because they were uncomfortable with people who weren't like them and were illegal. There was also a white separatist group. These white people wanted to seclude themselves and be away from anybody who wasn't white. As our nation gets more diverse our communities are getting more segregated.
